We saw Blonde Redhead & Unwound tonight. Unwound is prog rock! Blonde Redhead is waifish Japanese girl in scandalously short miniskirt, with excellent voice, + two italian guys. I have this ability to instantly detect certain Italian guys... what is it that makes them look Italian? this is only at indie rock shows. the black shirt that is a little too tight? the haircut? i don't know, i have italian-dar.

Jeff Elio Amy Sandeep Cosmo were also there. Cosmo! He was wearing his "1988 North Dakota Spelling Bee" t-shirt. what i love about cosmo is that he does not buy these shirts at thrift stores. Cosmo was IN the 1988 North Dakota Spelling Bee.

The only other thing I've done lately is, yesterday we went to the second sunday poetry slam at justice league. Normally I am not a big fan of poetry 'slams' but this one features significantly more talent than your average poetry event. unfortunately that talent was not in evidence last night. It was basically an hour and a half of standing in the darkness being shouted at by mediocre poets whose only theme was: "i belong to an ethnic group. you are an oppressor."
