RIP, Mitch. You were my favorite comedian. Another bright star lost to heroin.

Addendum 3/31: for those of you unfamiliar with Mitch Hedberg's comedic genius, here are two excerpts from his 2003 album Strategic Grill Locations. It was the first of his two recordings, and I think the better one. In the background you hear a bassist named Chuck, who adds some flavor to the proceedings and gives Mitch someone to play off against. "When the jokes die, Chuck, pick the bass UP." Mitch's comedy albums were unusual in that he kept in all the stuff other comics edit out, like when jokes fail or he forgets punchlines. It just added to his charm. Strategic Grill Locations captures him at the top of his game.
